This paper presents the component test results of a program designed to evaluate frontal impact anthropometric test device hardware and instrumentationa dvancements which have been made since the development of the Part 572 dummy. In addition to the Part 572, the GM Hybrid III and Association of Peugeot-Renault dummies are included in the evaluation. The component test results presented in this paper describe the temperature sensitivity, biofidelity, repeatability, durability, and symmetry characteristics of the dummies in frontal impacts.
