A fast method to reposition FE‐HBM’s based on computer graphics methods is presented. The method targets repositioning of the thoracic vertebrae in FE HBMs for sagittal movement and can be used to generate spinal FE models for subjects with varying spinal curvatures. Representation of the spinal posture using Bezier spline is found to be an effective way of locating the position and orientation of the vertebrae when the spinal column is flexed. Cobb angle and kyphosis obtained are in agreement to those reported in the literature. This method can be scaled to clinical studies to study and analyze thoracic curvature.
