Ankle dislocation without fracture is rarely encountered in clinical practice. Since 2001, three patients with pure ankle dislocations have been treated at Tuen Mun Hospital and North District Hospital in Hong Kong. Their early treatment results are reported. A literature review of this uncommon injury with relevant discussion is presented.
