Abstract

Forensic pathologists in the United Kingdom and elsewhere are faced with increasing numbers of deaths due to stabbing. The courts demand detailed information about the forces involved in the infliction of such injuries. This paper describes techniques which are acceptable to Coroners and Criminal Courts, and which may assist the pathologist to reach his conclusions and explain them to the jury.
